The Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level courses offered in high school. A successful score on an AP exam (usually a 3 or above) can get you college credit and advanced placement at approximately 90 percent of American Colleges and Universities. AP classes focus less on memorization and more on classroom discussions, collaborative problem solving, and persuasive writing. Successful AP students are also more likely to graduate in four years (saving $$$!) and to have more time to invest in additional academic goals.
AP Instruction should prove particularly useful to those homeschooling their children for high school. Those candidates interested in AP instruction should be prepared to make a multi-month commitment and will be expected to sign a contract outlining expectations and obligations.
